England call-up and World Cup bronze
His displays for City earned him a call-up to Thomas Tuchel's England squad for the World Cup during the summer, where he helped the Three Lions take home the bronze medal.

Fellow City star Rayan Cherki was also nominated for the award but was pipped to it by his teammate. Arsenal's Max Dowman, Manchester United's Kobbie Mainoo, Bournemouth's Junior Kroup and Liverpool's Rio Ngumoha were also shortlisted.
