A missing Scottish lottery winner has claimed a £1m prize after an appeal over their unclaimed ticket. The winning ticket was purchased in Aberdeenshire for the Lotto draw on Saturday, August 8.

The ticket matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball in Round 2, securing the £1m prize. At the same time, a missing winner in the City of Wakefield for the Lotto draw on Wednesday, August 5 also came forward. That ticket matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball in Round 2 to win £1m.
Record month for Lotto winners
The claims come as 20 people have become Lotto millionaires across the country this month, with the total for 2026 at 120 millionaires.
