Danny Cipriani and AnnaLynne McCord have married in an 'elegant bohemian' ceremony held in the back garden of their Los Angeles home, but several crowdfund requests for the celebration remain unfulfilled.
The former England rugby star, 38, and 90210 actress, 39, tied the knot on Saturday. AnnaLynne wore a sheer white lace gown with a floral embroidered veil, while Danny opted for an all-black suit.
Crowdfund wedding requests
In the weeks before the wedding, the couple created a public page on US website Honeyfund, asking friends and family to contribute towards individual elements of the celebration instead of buying traditional presents. Suggested contributions ranged from $100 (£74) to $600 (£445), covering the marriage licence, wedding cake, catering, booze, photography and construction of the venue.
According to The Sun, eight $600 (£445) slots for construction of the wedding venue were still available, alongside five $200 (£148) contributions for reception drinks. Seven $250 (£185) catering slots went unclaimed, as did five $300 (£222) photography contributions and two $500 (£371) slots for the rehearsal dinner.
Guests did contribute $100 towards the marriage licence and another $100 for reception music. The couple also received $600 towards their wedding cake and the same amount for floral arrangements.
Backlash and death threats
The registry caused a stir when it emerged last month, with the total value of listed requests reaching more than £10,000, excluding additional cash gifts. The backlash became so vicious that AnnaLynne claimed she and her new husband received death threats.
Speaking to The Sun from a Hollywood hotel, she said: 'I was told I was despicable – and that I was trying to extort money from my wedding guests.'
'People actually donated ten dollars towards the wedding so they could write on the site that Danny and I were disgusting,' she claimed. 'There were even death threats.'
Decade-long romance
The pair first met through celebrity dating app Raya around 10 years ago and had an on-off relationship lasting approximately four years. Their first attempt ended in 2020 when Danny called AnnaLynne to reveal another woman, Victoria Rose O'Callaghan, was pregnant.
Danny married Victoria, a neuroscience practitioner, the following year, but the couple announced their separation in November 2023. AnnaLynne then got back in touch with her former flame, and the pair rekindled their relationship in 2024.
Their reunion was not entirely smooth, with the couple briefly announcing another split in early 2025 before getting back together. Danny proposed to AnnaLynne on Christmas Day, getting down on one knee in front of the Christmas tree at her home.
Despite the unfulfilled crowdfund items, the couple got their 'elegant bohemian' celebration in the end.
