King Charles and Queen Camilla have arrived at the first RHS Sandringham Flower Show at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. The event is hosted by the Royal Horticultural Society and replaces the annual Sandringham Flower Show.
Arrival and Outfits
The King and Queen beamed as they arrived by carriage. Queen Camilla wore a chic green and blue print dress, while the King looked dapper in a beige suit with an RHS pin.
Award Presentations
Charles, patron of the RHS, and Camilla headed to the RHS Royal Legacy Garden, designed by Catherine MacDonald in collaboration with the King. The King presented the King’s Biodiversity Award, and the Queen presented The Queen’s Choice of Upcycled Containers at the Upcycled Containers feature. The King also presented the award for Best Exhibit in the Floral Marquee.
Meeting the Public
The royal couple smiled as they met show exhibitors and members of the public. The Sandringham Estate has agreed that the RHS can host a horticultural show at the site once every three years, with the first from July 22 to 26 this year, and the next planned in 2029. The Sandringham Flower Show, dating back to 1881, will return in 2027 and 2028.
