Police in Tameside have issued a stark warning to youths in the borough after a reported rise in anti-social behaviour.
In an update shared through GMP's Bee In the Loop messaging service, the force said they had seen an increase in anti-social behaviour in the area, with reported incidents of criminal damage and theft. These are 'mainly' at the Tesco and McDonalds in Mottram, and on Kingston Close in Hattersley.
Police working with sites to identify individuals
Officers have warned that they are working with these sites to identify individuals and that they can 'expect a visit from GMP' once they have been identified.
In a full statement, they said: "We have recently had an increase of ASB (Anti Social Behaviour) within the local area, whereby youths are causing criminal damage and theft mainly at Tesco's Mottram, McDonald's Mottram, and Kingston Close , Hattersley.
"Currently GMP are working with with the above locations to identify the individual's involved , once identifications have been made , EXPECT a visit from GMP and other partnership agencies.
"This will result in arrests, tenancy warnings, or even possible EVICTIONS.
"As a local community we will not tolerate this sort of behaviour, if your child/children are involved please make them aware that police will be within the area and positive action will be taken."
