Police in Lanarkshire are appealing for information after a woman was robbed at knifepoint in a play park in Uddingston. The incident occurred around 11:45pm on Tuesday, June 30, when a 20-year-old woman was inside a play park on Old Mill Road.
According to Detective Constable David Telfer, the woman was approached by a man who threatened her with a knife and stole personal items. The suspect then dropped the bag before fleeing the scene.
Suspect Description
The man is described as approximately 20 years old, around 5ft 10in tall, of thin build, and wearing an all-black tracksuit with the hood up. Police believe he may have discarded the bag nearby.
Police Appeal
Detective Constable David Telfer said: “This incident left the woman understandably shaken. The man took possession of her bag and then dropped it, before making off. Our extensive enquiries are ongoing, and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who was in the area and who may have dash cam or private CCTV that could assist to contact us.”
