Two farm workers have died after falling into an industrial silage tank at a farm in Cheshire. The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 26, at a farm on Cann Lane in Aston by Budworth.
Emergency response
Cheshire Police were called to the scene at around 12.20pm after reports that two workers had fallen into the tank. Police, fire and ambulance services attended, and on arrival found the two men inside the tank.
The men, aged 72 and 42, were rescued by emergency services. Despite their efforts, both were pronounced dead at the scene.
