Three teenagers allegedly caused thousands of pounds of damage to a chapel in Caerphilly, with neighbours reporting the incident to police. Gwent Police are investigating the break-in at Ton y Felin Chapel, which occurred on the evening of Thursday, July 30.
Incident details
The three suspects, two boys and one girl, are believed to be aged between 13 and 15. Neighbours reported seeing the teens causing damage to the nursery play area at the chapel, according to Gwent Police. The chapel, first built in 1800, was reportedly broken into at around 6.20pm.
One of the boys was described as wearing a t-shirt wrapped around his head, while the other had black hair and olive skin, wearing a black hoodie and shorts. They were accompanied by a girl of similar age with red hair in a ponytail.
Appeal for information
An appeal has been launched to find those responsible. Gwent Police said: "If you have any information, including CCTV or dashcam footage in the area of Ton y Felin Street, Bedwas Road or Caerbragdy between 5.45pm and 6.45pm on Thursday, July 30, we urge you to come forward."
