Police are appealing for help to find a missing 72-year-old man last seen in South Tyneside on Thursday morning. The man, who has only been identified as Colin, was last seen on Byron Avenue in Boldon Colliery at around 10:15 AM.

Northumbria Police have confirmed that extensive enquiries are ongoing to locate him. Colin is described as a slim man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with short grey hair. He was last seen wearing a green and grey puffer jacket, jeans, and brown shoes.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers are appealing for information to locate a missing South Tyneside man. Colin, 72, was last seen on Byron Avenue in the Boldon Colliery area, walking towards the Burn and River Don area, also in Boldon Colliery, at 10:15 AM on Thursday. Extensive enquiries are ongoing by Northumbria Police to locate him."
