A person has died following a house fire on Foxwood Drive in Mossley, Tameside, on Monday evening. Emergency services, including firefighters, police, and paramedics, were called to the scene at approximately 7.25pm on June 22.
Response and Casualty
Five fire engines from across Greater Manchester attended the blaze, according to a spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS). The spokesperson stated: "Crews arrived quickly and used four hose reels and five breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire." Sadly, a person died in the incident. Authorities have not yet released further details about the individual.
Scene and Investigation
Photos from the scene on Monday night showed multiple police vehicles and fire engines lining the residential road. By Tuesday morning, a police van remained stationed outside the affected house. Images revealed the house had a burnt-out roof above a window. The GMFRS spokesperson added: "Firefighters remain in attendance working alongside colleagues from Greater Manchester Police to make the area safe."
