A man is fighting for his life after a brutal assault outside Worcester Foregate Street station, with British Transport Police (BTP) releasing CCTV images of two men they want to trace.
Attack Details
The attack occurred just before 8pm on July 3 outside the station. According to BTP, the victim was repeatedly punched and stamped on while lying on the ground. Officers and paramedics attended the scene, and the victim was taken to a local hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Police Appeal
Detectives have released CCTV images of two men believed to have information about the incident. A BTP spokesperson said: "At just before 8pm on Friday 3 July, the victim was attacked by two men just outside the station. During the assault he was repeatedly punched and stamped on whilst he lay on the ground."
Anyone who recognises the men is urged to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 642 of 3 July. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Investigation Ongoing
BTP officers are continuing their investigation and are appealing for witnesses. The attack has left the community concerned, and police are keen to identify the suspects as soon as possible.
