Hungary Horror: Man Arrested for Digging Up Bodies and Eating Them

Police in Budapest have arrested a 30-year-old man accused of stealing body parts from a hospital and digging up corpses from abandoned cemeteries, allegedly with the intent to consume them. The suspect, who worked as an orderly at a local hospital, was taken into custody on June 17 after a tip-off led authorities to raid his apartment.

Grisly Discovery in Budapest Apartment

During the raid, officers uncovered a horrifying collection of human remains, including skulls, bones, limbs, a complete lower leg, a hand, and a heart preserved in a jar. Investigators also found a reconstruction of a human face made from facial skin, as well as bones stored inside a suitcase. Hungary's National Bureau of Investigation confirmed the seizure, stating that forensic experts are now working to determine whether all the remains are of human origin.

Suspect Confessed to Preparing Food from Remains

According to the Associated Press, the suspect confessed during interrogation that he had collected the body parts over time. He allegedly told investigators that he had "prepared food" from his stash, which he later ate. Police described the man as "passionate about anatomy and pathology, and likes to dissect animals."
