A father-of-three found dead in a lake in Wales has been described by his family as a "loving dad, son and uncle" who had a "heart of gold".

Nathan Jones, from Llandudno, is believed to have died in the Llyn Geirionydd near Trefiw, Conwy County, after going missing.

After police began looking for Mr Jones on Sunday, his body was recovered from the water on Wednesday, a spokesperson for North Wales Police said. Mr Jones was 34 years old.

Nathan's sister Lindsey Jones said: "He was a loving, caring, kind soul and would do anything for anyone. He gained his wings on Sunday evening in a tragic accident up in lake Geirionydd. He fell in the water and didn't come out again."

"Nathan loved everybody in his life and nobody ever had a bad word to say about him. He was funny outgoing and also very cheeky. We are going to miss him more than words can ever say."

"Nathan was a loving dad to Theo, Noah and Eva and a loving son and uncle and had a heart of gold."

She said his family and friends would always keep his memory alive. A fundraising page has been set up to raise money towards funeral costs.

She added: "As you all may know funerals cost a lot of money so we have made a Gofundme to help raise funds. Let's give Nathan the biggest send off we can. He deserved the world and we as a family want to give it to him."
