The four young men who died in the Huyton crash have been pictured as heartbreaking tributes continue to pour in. Jack Diggle, 23, Benjamin Dooley, 23, Andrew Roberts, 24, and Craig Shackleton-Brady, 26, died after the black Seat Cupra they were travelling in left the road and struck a lamp post on Liverpool Road, Huyton, just before 2am on Friday. The car had been travelling from Liverpool towards Knowsley when it came off the road. All four men died at the scene, Merseyside Police said.
Tributes
Flowers, photographs and heartfelt messages have since been left near the scene as families, friends and members of the local community pay tribute to the four men. Throughout the weekend, mourners have continued to gather near the area of the incident, with some stopping to lay flowers and others reflecting on the lives of the victims.
Benjamin's mother, Kerry, described him as "my world" and "my best friend", adding: "It was me and you always. My life is ripped apart and I don't know how I will do life without you." His sister, Demi, said her younger brother was "the one who always gave her advice and looked out for her", describing the tragedy as "a terrible dream".
Andrew Roberts' family said his death was a reminder of how "life can change in an instant". His mother, Linda, paid tribute to her "beautiful blue-eyed boy", saying her heart would be "forever broken".
Craig Shackleton-Brady's family remembered the father-of-two as a "truly well-mannered family man", saying his children were "the centre of his world" and that his kindness, loyalty and generosity touched everyone who knew him.
Jack's family described him as a "kind, quiet, thoughtful and loving" young man and a proud Everton supporter. His mother recalled going for a meal with him the day before the crash, saying: "Little did I know that it would be the last time we would spend together." She added: "The loss of Jack has left a hole in our lives and in our hearts that can never be filled. We will carry him with us every day and miss him for the rest of our lives."
Police appeal
Merseyside Police are continuing to appeal for information about the crash. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is urged to contact officers.
