All traffic is being held on the M62 eastbound in West Yorkshire following a multi-vehicle crash tonight (Wednesday, October 7). The carriageway is closed between Junction 22 and Junction 23 after the collision resulted in a diesel spillage in lane 3.

A National Highways spokesperson said: "M62 eastbound in West Yorkshire between J22 Denshaw & J23 Huddersfield. - Traffic stopped due to a multi vehicle collision, resulting in a diesel spillage in lane 3 which requires treatment. - Current delays of 30 minutes on approach, with 2 miles of congestion."
Inrix, the traffic data company, reported: "All traffic being temporarily held due to accident on M62 Eastbound from J22 A672 (Rishworth Moor) to J23 A640 New Hey Road (Huddersfield)."
