Armed police descended on the Welsh town of Maesteg on Thursday following reports of a woman in possession of a machete.
Police were called at around 10am on July 16 to a disturbance at an address on Yr-Ysfa, Maesteg. Armed officers were in attendance as well as a police helicopter.
Arrest and bail
A 37-year-old woman from Maesteg was arrested on suspicion of affray and being in possession of a pointed article in a public place. Police said the pointed article has been described as a machete.
The woman has been released on bail as the police investigation into the incident continues.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "South Wales Police was called at 09.55am on Thursday, July 16 to a disturbance at an address on Yr-Ysfa, Maesteg. A 37-year-old woman from Maesteg was arrested on suspicion of affray and being in possession of a pointed article in a public place, she has since been released on bail. Investigations into the incident are ongoing."
