A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of rape after a 15-year-old girl was found missing in Worcester. Officers from West Mercia Police located the girl in Battenhall fields at approximately 3:30am on 7 July 2026, following reports she had gone missing.

The teenage suspect remains in police custody as enquiries continue. Detective Inspector Ed Jones stated: “Our immediate priority has been safeguarding the girl involved and progressing our investigation, which has already led to an arrest.” He added that a police presence will remain in the area while inquiries are ongoing, urging residents with concerns to speak to officers.
