A man has been charged with murder after a woman's body was found in a burning van in Prestatyn. Thomas Matthew Hammond Bell, 38, of Wellington Road, Rhyl, is due to appear in court today charged with murder.

Emergency response

Emergency services were called to Gas Works Lane in Prestatyn at around 11.30pm on Sunday, October 4, following reports of a van on fire. Police later confirmed that a woman's body was discovered inside the vehicle.

A murder investigation was launched, and Bell was arrested by investigating officers. The identity of the woman inside the van has yet to be publicised.

Appeal for information

Detective chief inspector Zoie Dunkerley said: "Our investigation is ongoing, and I would appeal for anyone with any information that has not already spoken to us, to make contact."
