A 24-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and other offences following a single-vehicle collision on the A44 near Capel Bangor, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion. The incident occurred at approximately 8.50pm on Tuesday, June 30, according to Dyfed-Powys Police.
Charges and Court Appearance
Owen Rhys-Jones, of Dol-y-Bont, Aberystwyth, has been charged with attempted murder, dangerous driving, and controlling and coercive behaviour. He has been remanded into custody to appear at court. The charges stem from a crash that involved only one vehicle, though further details about the circumstances have not yet been disclosed.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The Dyfed-Powys Police Crime Investigation Department and major crime team are appealing for witnesses who may have information that could assist the investigation. Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who witnessed a disturbance in or around Capel Bangor, Aberystwyth, at the time of the incident.
Police are urging anyone with mobile phone, video, or dashcam footage of the disturbance, or of the people involved, to come forward. They also want to identify any other individuals who were present at the location on the A44 by Capel Bangor at the time.
