An investigation has been launched after an alleged clash between spectators at a Welsh under-11s football match. The game between Rhos and Cwrt Herbert on Saturday was overshadowed by ugly scenes as spectators and coaches had to be separated after squaring up to one another.
Video Shows Aftermath of Incident
It's not clear when the incident took place, nor is it known what sparked it. A video seemingly showing the aftermath appears to show two men being dragged away from each other, one of whom appears to be wearing a tracksuit. Others rush onto the scene as a man can be heard shouting "You stop. You stop. You stop, now!"
The pair are eventually separated, with one dragged away by another onlooker. A couple of children can also be seen approaching the scuffle as order is eventually restored.
Clubs and Association Respond
It's not yet clear if those involved were attached to either club, or if they were members of staff or spectators. Rhos FC have declined to comment on the incident, which is now being looked at by officials. West Wales Football Association also didn't comment on the matter when approached by WalesOnline, although a spokesperson has confirmed that an investigation has been launched. Cwrt Herbert have also been approached for comment.
