Police in Warwickshire are desperately searching for two missing girls, 11-year-old Angelica and 12-year-old Verity, who were last seen in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Newbold area of Rugby. The pair were reported missing from Rugby on Saturday (August 8) and are believed to be together.
Ongoing Search and Public Appeal
In a late Sunday evening update, a Rugby Police spokesperson said: “Our officers continue to work around the clock to find Angelica and Verity who were last seen in the Newbold area of Rugby in the early hours of this morning.” The girls are from Rugby but also have links to Cornwall.
The spokesperson added: “If you think you may have seen them or know where they might be, please call 999 immediately quoting incident number 123 of 8 August. Please continue to share our posts and thank you to those who have shared them already.”
Earlier Updates and Growing Concern
An initial police update on Saturday at around 10:20pm said: “Have you seen 11-year-old Angelica and 12-year-old Verity? The girls, who are believed to be together, were reported missing from Rugby this morning and our officers are growing increasingly concerned for their welfare. They have links to Rugby and Cornwall.”
Another update on Sunday afternoon confirmed the girls had been spotted in Newbold, Rugby, at 4am that morning. Police urge anyone with information to call 999 immediately.
