A man has been hospitalised with injuries following a suspected hit and run incident in Maesteg. Police and paramedics were called to the scene on Cwmdu Road at 11.30am on Wednesday, July 15, outside BronFair Allotments.

The Welsh Ambulance Service also attended the crash, which involved a car and a pedestrian. Police suspect the driver failed to stop after the collision. A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “Officers were called to Cwmdu Road at 11.31am yesterday (July 15) to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian and a fail to stop. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing. A man was taken to hospital with injuries.”
