A 102-year-old man is in hospital in a critical condition after suffering serious injuries following an alleged pub assault in South Wales. Police were called alongside paramedics to reports of an assault at The Crow’s Nest pub in Cwmbran at around 10.30pm on Saturday, August 1.
Arrest and Investigation
The 102-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains in critical condition. A 56-year-old man from Llanelli has been arrested on suspicion of section 20 assault and has since been released under investigation.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing and we are asking anyone who was in the pub between 10pm and 11pm on Saturday, August 1, to contact us. The incident occurred at The Crow’s Nest pub in Cwmbran, and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
