Cornwall police appeal for missing teen sisters

Devon and Cornwall Police have issued an urgent appeal for help in locating two sisters, Summer, 14, and Skye, 15, who have been missing from West Cornwall since Friday, August 14. The pair were last seen in Truro and have not been spotted since.

Police growing increasingly concerned

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said the sisters are believed to be in the Redruth, Penryn or Falmouth areas. "We are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of sisters Summer, 14, and Skye, 15," the spokesperson said, as reported by Cornwall Live.

"If you have seen either of them, have spoken to them, or have any information that may help us locate them, please contact police quoting reference 399 of 14/08/26." Information can be reported by calling 101, or 999 in an emergency. The spokesperson added: "Please share this appeal to help us locate Summer and Skye."

Recent similar case in Cornwall

The appeal follows an incident last week in which Cornwall Police helped locate two missing girls from Rugby. Four people from Cornwall were arrested during the investigation, and a total of six people were arrested following further enquiries.

A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said: "In the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 12 August, we arrested two men, aged 62 and 25 and one woman, aged 56, from Tintagel, Cornwall, on suspicion of abduction. A Falmouth man, aged 42, was also arrested on suspicion of abduction. And later on this morning we arrested two women, aged 75 and 47, from Rugby on suspicion of abduction."

Chief Supt Jon Belcher said: "The people who are currently in custody are all known to the girls so there was and is no wider threat to the community. Over the coming days, officers will be out and about in the community and in areas of interest, speaking to the community and conducting house-to-house enquiries. If you have any concerns, please talk with them."
