Body Found During Search for Missing Men Near Welsh

A body has been recovered from a beach in Aberystwyth, Wales, during the search for two men who disappeared near a Haven holiday park.

Police were called at around 12:30pm on July 26 to reports of a body on the beach. The individual has been identified as Connor Parfitt, one of the men last seen near a beach off Hafan-Y-Mor Holiday Park in Pwllheli on Tuesday evening. His family and the coroner have been informed.

Second Man Still Missing

The second man, Simon Wilson, remains unaccounted for. North Wales Police said officers are continuing to support his family.

Police Statement

Chief Inspector Stephen Pawson said: "My thoughts remain with both Connor and Simon’s families at this incredibly difficult time. This is not the outcome any of us had hoped for, including the teams involved in the searches. Thank you to partner agencies, volunteers and members of the public who assisted in our searches over the last six days. We continue to appeal for any information or sightings of Simon to contact us quoting reference O120829."
