CCTV appeal after Congleton home petrol bombed

Cheshire Police have issued a CCTV appeal after a home in Congleton was targeted with a petrol bomb in what officers describe as a "vile attack". The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, June 27, when emergency services were called to Clayton Avenue at approximately 2:50am.

Petrol bomb thrown outside property

According to Cheshire Police, a petrol bomb was thrown outside an address, causing only minor damage. Fire crews also attended the scene to ensure safety. Investigations are ongoing, and detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Tom Binder of Cheshire Constabulary stated: "This appears to be a targeted attack, and we are committed to doing all we can to identify the person responsible." He urged anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image to come forward, as well as anyone with information about the incident.
