Fatal Accident in Bryn Milwr

Jacqueline Davies, a 75-year-old woman from Bryn Milwr, Hollybush, Cwmbran, died after being run over by her own car, an inquest opening has revealed. The incident occurred on July 6 when Ms Davies called paramedics, reporting difficulty breathing and stating that she had been run over by her vehicle.

Circumstances of the Incident

According to proceedings at Gwent Coroners' Court on Monday, Ms Davies had exited her car to move a cat that was in front of the vehicle. The handbrake failed to hold on a slope, causing the car to roll forward and strike her, resulting in serious injuries.

Emergency services, including paramedics and police, attended the scene and transported Ms Davies to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. She succumbed to her injuries the following day, on July 7.
