Dale Mundell, a 34-year-old man from Islington, was discovered dead inside a suitcase in a wooded area in Borstal, Kent, on Friday, 10 July. Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with his death.
Arrests and Charges
Joshua Miller, 32, from Wimbledon, has been charged with murder and preventing a lawful burial. Jamie Cooper, 27, of the same address, has been charged with preventing a lawful burial. Both appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 13 July, and have been remanded into custody.
Police Investigation
The Metropolitan Police stated that officers were called to an address on Kingfisher Court, off Queensmere Road, Wimbledon, at around 22:55hrs on Thursday, 9 July, over concerns for a man's welfare. No one was found at the property, but a search led officers to believe harm had occurred there. The next day, officers discovered Mundell's body in a wooded area in Borstal, Kent. His death is being treated as suspicious, and enquiries are ongoing. The victim and the two charged men were known to each other. Mundell's family is being supported by specialist officers.
