A three-month-old girl who died while camping with her family has been named as Lacey May Oxford. She was with her family near Great Wyrley, Staffordshire, when she died on September 5.
Emergency response and police investigation
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed they responded to a report of a baby in cardiac arrest. Lacey May was pronounced dead at the scene.
Staffordshire Police said Lacey's death is still being treated as unexplained as officers continue to investigate the circumstances. Four people who were arrested in connection with the investigation remain on conditional police bail.
Police statement
A statement from Staffordshire Police said: 'We were called by colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service, who were responding to a report of a child in cardiac arrest, at 8.45am on Saturday 5 September.'
'Officers have been working hard to investigate the circumstances of Lacey's death, which is still being treated as unexplained. Our inquiries are continuing and we will continue to provide updates on this investigation when we are able to do so.'
