A multi-vehicle crash has caused severe delays on the M11 motorway near Stansted Airport. Traffic came to a standstill on the southbound carriageway between junctions J9 and J8.
Police and National Highways Respond
National Highways urged drivers to seek alternative routes, confirming that Essex Police were attending the scene. There are currently 75 minutes of delays and seven miles of congestion on approach.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys or consider alternative routes to avoid the affected area.
