The second series of BBC and Netflix hit A Good Girl's Guide to Murder is now available on iPlayer, with Pip Fitz-Amobi (Emma Myers) investigating a new missing person case. Filmed largely in Bristol and Somerset, the show uses real locations to bring the fictional village of Little Kilton to life.
Interior scenes, including school classrooms and investigation rooms, were shot at Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol. The city's urban areas, such as Clifton Village and the Clifton Suspension Bridge, also feature, reflecting the season's grittier tone.
The village of Axbridge in Somerset doubles as Little Kilton. The town square, Old Station, Chestnut Avenue, and St John the Baptist Church were used for key scenes, including the memorial service that opens season two. Director Asim Abassi praised Axbridge as 'wonderfully quaint and perfect for Little Kilton.'
A derelict manor house near Bristol serves as another crucial location. Abassi described it as his 'favourite,' noting it 'captures the essence of season 2.' Actor Zain Iqbal confirmed the manor's proximity to Bristol.
Season two follows Pip as she seeks justice for predator Max Hastings (Henry Ashton), while the disappearance of a key witness, Connor's brother Jamie, tests her detective skills. The series is based on Holly Jackson's bestselling novels.
