Haven Opens £12m Lost Lagoon Waterpark in Kent

The Lost Lagoon Waterpark, a £12million attraction at Haven's Kent Coast Holiday Park near Rochester, officially opened its doors on July 7, 2026. TV personality Joe Swash joined The Seaside Squad to cut the ribbon, alongside local councillors, schoolchildren, and Haven team members.

Part of a £50 Million Development Programme

The waterpark is a key component of a broader £50million investment at the site, one of the largest in Haven's history. It includes a variety of slides, splash zones, and swimming areas designed for all ages and abilities. Features include Atlantis Falls, a waterslide and wild river experience; Coral Bay, an interactive aqua play area for younger children; Tiddlers Tide Pool, a confidence-building pool for young swimmers; Aqua Haven, a refurbished outdoor pool with a new enclosure; and Allhallows Reef, an upgraded indoor swimming pool for family activities.

Sustainability and Guest Experience

The facility was designed with sustainability in mind, powered by high-temperature heat pump technology. Haven CEO Simon Palethorpe said: "The Lost Lagoon Waterpark is a fantastic addition to Kent Coast and a great example of how we're continuing to invest in the experiences that matter most to our guests. Whether it's the excitement of the waterslides or families simply spending quality time together, it's all about creating more memories that last a lifetime." He added: "We're seeing more families choosing to holiday in the UK, and it's important that we continue to give them even more reasons to choose Haven."

Joe Swash Praises the Waterpark

Joe Swash, a regular guest at the park with his family, commented: "It's an incredible pool complex. My children are all different ages and there's genuinely something for each of them to enjoy - whether they're building confidence in the water or racing down the slides. Family holidays are all about spending quality time together, having fun and creating memories and this waterpark does exactly that."

Record Guest Numbers and Recent Improvements

Kent Coast Holiday Park welcomed more than 98,000 guests in 2025. The waterpark follows other recent improvements, including the addition of The London Stone pub in March 2025, operated in partnership with J D Wetherspoon, and a major refurbishment of the on-site supermarket in June 2026.
