Thousands of people ran through Liverpool city centre on Sunday, October 4, taking part in the Everton 10k long-distance run. The event, organised by Everton FC in support of its charitable arm, Everton in the Community, also welcomed participants running for other charities.
Route and Start
The race set off from Everton FC's home ground, the Hill Dickinson Stadium, at 9:30am. The route led runners past some of Liverpool's most iconic landmarks, including the Royal Liver Building and The Beatles statue, before returning to the stadium for the finish line.
Photographer Coverage
Our Liverpool ECHO photographer was on hand to document the event, capturing photos and videos of the runners as well as those who turned out to offer their support. The gallery shows thousands of runners taking part, with hundreds of people lining the route to cheer them on, and many making signs to encourage the participants. Runners dressed in red and blue set off from the stadium, and one little boy cheered his mum on with an adorable sign.
