Brazil's New Air Pass Simplifies Domestic Travel for Tourists
Brazil Air Pass Eases Domestic Travel for Tourists

Tourists planning to explore Brazil can now enjoy more streamlined domestic travel with the launch of a new flight pass, similar to the Interrail system in Europe. This initiative aims to make it easier for visitors to discover the country's diverse destinations under a single, flat fee.

How the Azul Brazil Air Pass Works

Brazilian airline Azul has collaborated with the nation's tourism board to introduce the Azul Brazil Air Pass. This innovative product allows passengers to combine multiple flights within Brazil under one fare, simplifying travel planning and costs.

Flexible Itinerary Options

The pass offers various options to suit different travel needs. Passengers can choose maximum stays of 14, 20, or 30 days, depending on the selected fare and the number of destinations included. Available through travel agencies, travellers have the flexibility to select their desired destinations and dates.

Pricing starts at £350 for trips with up to four destinations and a stay of up to 14 days. For more extensive itineraries, prices can reach £436 for up to eight destinations and a stay of up to 30 days on flights operated by Azul. Travel agents can reserve seats on these flights before charging the set fee, ensuring a smooth booking process.

Extensive Network and Additional Options

Azul operates an impressive network of 800 daily flights to 137 destinations within Brazil, providing broad coverage for pass holders. Additionally, the pass includes options to travel on routes operated by other airlines, though this may incur extra costs, offering further flexibility for tourists.

Boosting Tourism and Accessibility

Anderson Serafim, Azul's commercial and international expansion manager, highlighted the pass's goals. "We want to make it increasingly easier for international tourists to arrive in Brazil and allow these visitors to experience the diversity of destinations the country has to offer," he said.

Serafim added, "The Azul Brazil Air Pass is a product designed for the entire market, regardless of the airline used to travel to Brazil. For those flying with Azul, there is also the advantage of more competitive fares, making the experience even more accessible, organised and predictable."

This new pass is expected to enhance Brazil's appeal as a tourist destination by reducing the complexity and cost of domestic travel, encouraging visitors to explore more regions and support local economies.
