Pay 38p a Day for Unlimited Entry to Legoland, Alton Towers & More
38p a Day for Unlimited Entry to Legoland, Alton Towers

Entertaining the kids throughout the summer can prove costly, especially when you've got multiple children to keep happy. Days out to some of the big names across the UK can set you back a pretty penny, particularly if you're buying individual tickets to the different attractions.

Luckily, families do not need to spend hundreds or even thousands of pounds on days out thanks to a brand new offer from Merlin Entertainments. The company which owns some of the UK's top-visited attractions has released a deal that gets individuals almost unlimited entry to its various locations.

Available for £139, the Merlin Essential Pass grants holders access to Legoland, Cadbury World, Alton Towers, Sea Life, the London Eye and Warwick Castle, among others across 339 days of the year. To put it into perspective, it works to cost just 38p a day.

The pass is the most cost-effective option to visit these places. For example, tickets to Legoland cost from £32 per person when booked in advance and can cost up to £68 when bought at the gate.

The pass will be delivered digitally directly to your email inbox, ready to use. Passes are only required for guests 90cm and over, meaning little ones go free.

All passholders are required to pre-book a ticket online via the portal found here. Some exclusion dates apply, which can be found here on the restriction dates calendar.

For theme park fans looking to try somewhere different, Wowcher's Theme Park Breaks could be the ideal choice. They're currently promoting a Gulliver's Valley Resort Stay and Theme Park Entry deal starting at £139, with options available during school holidays for a family of four looking for an exciting break.

If your family is keen on outdoor adventures, consider a National Trust Family Membership starting at £103 annually. It contains free entry to more than 500 places from houses and gardens to coastlines.

Other Merlin Annual Pass Options

Merlin Entertainments offers other yearly passes worth taking a look at. For those who just want unlimited access to Alton Towers, the Alton Towers Annual Pass, on sale for £64 instead of £86, may be the better option.

But, for shoppers looking to get even more bang for their buck, the gold or platinum options may be more suitable. Merlin Entertainments has dropped the price of these options, making now the perfect time to get them.

"Having a Merlin pass has meant a lot as I would not be able to take my granddaughter out on so many trips," a third penned. "We both really enjoy ourselves and have so much fun and build loads of memories and more to come for the future. I would totally recommend getting one if you don’t have one already."

One shopper, however, wasn't as impressed with the Merlin Essential Pass and gave it a three-star review. They said: "I don't like the fact that Annual pass holders have to pre-book tickets when you have paid so much money for the passes."

"Reasonable value but long queues at most attractions," another three-star review mentions. "Unless you queue jump by paying extra. The Merlin booking website is just an awful experience."

Nevertheless, someone else loved their Merlin Essential Pass, adding: "We've been Merlin Annual Pass holders since 2018, and we absolutely love it. The pass has been amazing value for our family — we use it regularly and it’s saved us so much money over the years. There’s always something fun to do, from theme parks to attractions across the UK, and it never gets boring. As a special needs user, I also want to highlight how inclusive Merlin is. They've put in place a thoughtful and supportive system that really makes a difference. It’s clear they’ve worked hard to ensure everyone can enjoy the experience comfortably and safely. Highly recommend the pass to anyone looking for adventure, flexibility, and great memories all year round."

Another five-star review reads: "Me and my friend both have Merlin gold passes and we go to a different venue every Tuesday and never get bored of what they have to offer. Our trips have paid for the pass 10 times over so far. It’s definitely worth it."
