Llandudno B&B Named Third Best in UK by Tripadvisor

A modest side street bed and breakfast in Llandudno has been recognised as one of the best in the world. Burleigh House, located on Church Walks at the upper end of Llandudno, has just eight guest rooms and has been lovingly managed by Steve and Julie Wood for nearly two decades.

The couple poured everything into the venture after leaving behind their careers in Greater Manchester to relocate to the Welsh seaside town. Their dedication has earned them outstanding Tripadvisor reviews, with one recent guest describing the establishment as a "masterclass in hosting."

Now, the pair have been officially recognised in the review platform's prestigious Best of the Best rankings. Winners are determined by the quality and quantity of Tripadvisor reviews and ratings from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, reports North Wales Live.

Steve and Julie Wood run Burleigh Guest House in Llandudno. The charming guest house has been crowned the third best B&B in the UK and ranks 11th across the entire globe.

Steve and Julie said: "To be placed third in Tripadvisor's Best of the Best in the UK 2026 is a great achievement as we are coming up to 20 years in November, owning and running Burleigh House. We both gave up our well paid jobs in Stockport and took the big step into the unknown. Fortunately with a lot of hard work, stress and covid to deal with its all worked out for the good. We would like to thank family, friends and most of all, our lovely loyal guests who came along with the journey."

The accolades recognise the most highly rated hotels globally, based on Tripadvisor reviewer feedback. This year's awards spans seven categories: Top Hotels, All-Inclusive, B&Bs and Inns, Family-Friendly, Small and Boutique, Luxury and One of a Kind.

This year's leading UK winner is Royal Lancaster London, which has secured the title of No. 1 Top Hotel in the UK and No. 4 globally. Burleigh House wasn't the sole Welsh B&B to receive recognition, with several others featuring on the lists.
