£12m Lotto Jackpot Unclaimed in Rhondda Cynon Taf

A National Lottery Lotto ticket purchased in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales, worth £12 million remains unclaimed more than two weeks after the draw on Saturday, June 6. The ticket matched all six main numbers: 08, 10, 26, 30, 35 and 42. The winner has until Thursday, December 3 to claim the prize, according to National Lottery operator Allwyn.

Urgent Appeal to Find the Winner

Allwyn is urging players in the area to check their tickets. Andy Carter, senior winners' advisor at Allwyn, said: "This is an incredible win for one lucky Lotto ticketholder. Someone out there is a multi-millionaire, and they have no idea that they are sitting on this life-changing sum of money. We are urging Lotto players to check their tickets to see if they are our would-be winner."

Carter added: "Imagine this sum of money in your bank account and how it could change not only your life but that of your friends, family and charities or good causes close to your heart – this is a massive win and we can't wait to unite the lucky ticket-holder with their Lotto Jackpot prize."

Under National Lottery rules, players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize. If unclaimed by the deadline, the money is allocated to National Lottery-funded projects across the UK. Those who have lost their ticket but believe they have a genuine claim can submit a written claim to Allwyn within 30 days of the draw. Recent Lotto Changes

Allwyn recently introduced what it called the most substantial Lotto draw overhaul. Under the new format, two separate sets of six main balls and a bonus ball are drawn using two machines in each draw. Each £2 line now offers two chances to win. Allwyn says the odds of winning any prize improved from one in 9.3 to one in 4.9, and the annual number of Lotto millionaires is expected to rise from about 140 to around 345.
