Pete Wicks gives up alcohol and sugar after pact with Olivia Attwood
Pete Wicks quits alcohol and sugar after Olivia Attwood pact

Pete Wicks has revealed a major health decision after making a pact with girlfriend Olivia Attwood. The TV personality and reality star has disclosed he's made a significant choice to give up alcohol and sugar following an agreement with Olivia — though he's not planning any dramatic overhaul.

Following months of speculation that podcast presenter Pete was romantically linked with former Love Island contestant Olivia after her separation from footballer husband Bradley Dack earlier this year, the pair officially went public in July. It was Pete who broke the news by posting several snaps from their Ibiza getaway on Instagram in July.

Pact revealed on Staying Relevant podcast

During the most recent instalment of Pete's podcast, Staying Relevant, which he co-hosts alongside best pal Sam Thompson, the TV personality disclosed his latest wellness commitment. Sam revealed that Olivia had contacted Pete after he posted a photo of himself with a Caprisun, having zoomed in to verify it was the sugar-free variety.

"That girl has got you under her sights, mate," Sam remarked. However, Pete confessed: "So we've got a pact," before revealing that both he and Olivia were cutting out sugar and largely avoiding alcohol. He said: "And we're not doing sugar and we're not doing alcohol really until we kind of go away unless there is a reason to break the pact," before explaining how he's got a sweet tooth and typically consumes excessive amounts of sugar, sweets and chocolate.

Pete's new hydration routine

Pete noted he's now drinking enormous quantities of water and urinating more frequently than ever. "Well, this is something new for me... I'm not a hydrated person as you all know," Pete said. "Now, I'm uh smashing through three litres of water a day. I am at the age now where I have to p*ss every 15 minutes. I would go to the toilet like for a p*ss maybe twice a day previously. I'm now going I would say 10 to 12 times a day."

Sam then observed: "You're on your health journey, Pete." But Pete responded: "I think people have misinterpreted the fact that I've just stopped sugar and I'm not heavily drinking anymore. With the fact that I'm not going to start pumping iron. I'm not. I'm not doing that as of yet."
