JDG Estate Agents has completed the acquisition of Mighty House Sales and Lettings, marking its second purchase in a matter of months as it expands across Lancaster and Morecambe.
The deal, finalised in September, follows JDG's earlier summer acquisition of Castle Properties. Both businesses are being integrated into the JDG brand.
Expanding portfolio and team
Mighty House has operated as a high street sales and lettings agency for approximately 10 years, while Castle Properties specialised in residential lettings. Together, the two acquisitions have increased JDG's managed lettings portfolio to more than 450 properties. The agency has also expanded its team to support the additional business.
Local relationships and future plans
John Gallagher, of JDG Estate Agents, told EYE: “Both businesses have built strong local relationships, and we’re delighted to welcome their clients and colleagues to JDG.”

Track record and recognition
JDG has operated for more than 35 years and reports having helped over 9,000 households move during that period. The agency has received Gold recognition for sales and lettings at the EA Masters awards for seven consecutive years and topped the Best Estate Agent Guide rankings for sales and lettings in 2022 and 2023.
The financial terms of the acquisitions have not been disclosed.
