Jo and Kush have been crowned winners of Race Across the World series six, completing a gruelling 12,000-kilometre journey across Europe and Asia. The pair finished ahead of father-daughter duo Andrew and Molly, siblings Katie and Harrison, and in-laws Mark and Margo.
Victory and Emotions
Reflecting on their win, Kush expressed pride in their hometown, saying: "I hope we did Liverpool proud. Big up scousers!" In an interview with the BBC, he described the victory as a "fever dream" but also a "bittersweet feeling" because the adventure had come to an end.
Jo noted that finishing first after leg six was the moment he believed they could win, adding that the experience was the best trip he had ever had.
Prize Money and Future Plans
The pair, who won £20,000, revealed that part of their winnings will go towards a house deposit. Their triumph marks a memorable conclusion to the latest series of the popular BBC travel competition.
