A man has been charged with abuse of a corpse after the body of a missing Alabama woman was discovered by her family. Karen Deann Hollis, 23, was reported missing from Northport on May 8. Authorities issued an alert due to a medical condition that could impair her judgment. The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit suspected foul play early on, gathering extensive evidence and identifying a person of interest. Hollis's body was found in Greene County on Saturday afternoon by her family and friends, who used recovered electronic evidence to locate her. Following the discovery, Randall Lendell Dejourney, 44, was detained and charged with abuse of a corpse. He is being held on a $15,000 bond, with further charges possible pending an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
