Police swarmed a mosque in San Diego, California, after an active shooter was reported on Monday. Children fled from the Islamic Center of San Diego (ICSD) in Clairemont shortly after the shooter opened fire shortly before noon, according to the San Diego Police Department.
ICSD is the largest mosque in San Diego County and is home to the Al Rashid School, formerly known as the Islamic School of San Diego. Police have described the scene as 'still active but contained,' and are establishing a reunification center for families.
